You can renew your books online via My Library Account, on self-service machines and at the Library InfoPoints. You will need your Library PIN for online renewals, as well as your University ID number, e.g. your student, staff or associate number. You can also contact us by live chat, telephone (0151 794 9500) or speak to a member of staff to renew your loans.

Note that items from the Leahurst (VFS) and London Campus Libraries should also be renewed on the same number.

However, If your books are more than fourteen days overdue, or your fines are over £10, you will need to ask a member of staff if they will renew them for you but this will depend on the circumstances.

Undergraduates and Taught Postgraduates have a maximum number of renewals, while Staff and Research Postgraduates have unlimited renewals. See the maximum number of renewals allowed for more information.

Note: 1 day loans and items reserved by another user cannot be renewed.

If you have any problems renewing your loans, get in touch using one of the methods in the contact us box on the Library Help homepage and we'll look into it and renew your items if possible.

Today's opening hours are listed below. For further details, see the full Opening Hours.
